Air Grinders

Air grinders are usually grinding devices operated with compressed air from compressors, which can be operated and used with a wide variety of inserts such as milling cutters, grinding stones, polishing agents or similar, usually at very high speed.

The spindle or pick-up axis rotates at high speed to achieve sufficient peripheral speed even with smaller grinding inserts. The speed is controlled via the trigger button on the applied compressed air, or via external controllers. Compared to electrical devices, compressed air devices are characterized by a lower weight. In addition, the absence of sparks in the drive due to the currentless operation allows safe work in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Air grinders are mainly used in the industrial and repair sector to remove burrs from workpiece edges, to smooth out unevenness or to achieve good polishing effects. There are various designs in this area, either in straight or 90° angled form, with the latter form offering advantages in tight spaces.
